This year we have a one-of-a-kind Christmas gift hamper for you.
 
We have put our heads together with Meredith Whitely from Calm Cocoa to showcase two special coffees from Mooleh Manay Estate in India through coffee and  chocolate.
 
The Limited Edition Excelsa is a unique and rare species of coffee, different from the more widely known Arabica and Robusta species, giving us a completely different flavour profile. It has a lower caffeine content, containing only about half as much caffeine as Arabica and a quarter of the caffeine most Robustas bring to the cup. It has a low acidity and a very elevated sweetness which in combination makes for a coffee unlike any you will have tasted before. Meredith created a 72% dark chocolate laced with the incredible sweetness and aroma of the Excelsa by incorporating ground coffee along with a sprinkle of Halon Mon Welsh Sea Salt and "nibs" of coffee beans to give it a delicious crunch.
 
Tiger's Pounce on the other hand, is a specialty-grade Robusta. It is extra caffeinated and super rich in it's chocolatey and nutty notes. Thanks to it's milk chococlate and vanilla notes it makes a smooth filter coffee and, as all of our Robustas, it really shines when prepared as Espresso. For Calm Cocoa's Mindful Mocha creation, Meredith infused a dark drinking chocolate with the aroma of Tiger's Pounce by storing the chocolate in ground coffee for weeks, so it would take on the coffee goodness without actually containing any coffee.  The result is magical, especially on a cold and dark winter's night!
